Guanacaste Snorkeling

Hi, Our family will be at Playa Carrillo for a few days. We love snorkeling. I've heard Samara is good but would like to try other spots on the coast as well. Any suggestions? Do you have recommendations for other fun activites near Playa Carrillo? Thanks!

The snorkeling in Guanacaste is not that great. You need to go further south to Cano Island for that, or over to the Caribbean side to see some good stuff.

Sandy, Thanks so much for the information. Maybe next trip we will go to the Caribbean side. I'm sure we'll find plenty to do. Supposedly there are cool tide pools at Punta Islita
Thanks

We went snorkeling at Playa Conchal...a little north of Tamarindo. I have never been snorkeling before...so have nothing to compare it to...but I thought it was great!

The snorkeling was great at the Fiesta Premier also. My husband met a little octopus that lived in the rocks that he saw each day.
