Good Restaurants in Placencia

Can anyone suggest some good restaurants in Placencia? We are looking for some high end restaurants as well as some less expensive meals. We like all types of foods. Thanks!!

Best new entry is Maya Beach Hotel Bistro, really good. Roberts Grove has two restaurants and does a great bbq on Saturday nights. Turtle Inn. Kittys Place. In town, Galley, fabulous new ice cream shop, Tutti frutti.

High end? The main restaurant at Inn at Robert's Grove and the restaurant at Turtle Inn, plus from what I've been told (haven't tried it yet) the restaurant at Maya Beach Hotel. I agree with Katie about the Saturday night BBQ at Robert's Grove -- my son thinks that's the best meal in Belize.

For good food at popular prices, I'm partial to Wendy's on the road in Placencia village. Omar's, too, for cheap food in the village. Trattoria Placencia, near Seaspray, for homemade pasta. Tutti Fruiti (across the street from Wendy's) is always good for gelati. Mango's up at Maya Beach has changed but is still pretty good.

We had a couple of dinners and breakfasts at the "De-Tach", a little place on the beach behind the Seaspray Hotel. The amount of scrimp was amazing, and get the stuffed jack for B'fast.
