Good Friday Puerto Vallarta

We will arrive in PV on Good Friday (April 2, 2010) - will banks be open? I am assuming restaurants, stores, etc. will be in full swing.

Anything we should know about Easter weekend?

Well, there will be a LOT of people in town! It's the single busiest time of the entire year, both with tourists, Mexican visitors, and locals.

Sorry don't know about banking hours. You can always change money at your hotel front desk, if they are closed.

ATM's will be working. Most Mexican banks do not exchange US Currency due to the Drug war.

is it the same as in Europe, that ATM's give the best exchange rate??

Yes, ATM's give the best exchange rate.

If you happen to be a Bank of America customer you can use Santander ATM's for free.

Banks and Govt. Offices will be closed, it's an official holiday, all the tourist stores and restaurants will be open.
