Going to Peru Next Week..What Kinda Clothes to Take!

Hi..we are leaving for Peru next Monday..I am starting to pack..but am just not sure what to pack..we will be in Lima,Puerto Maldonada,Ollyantaytambo Cuzco, Machu Picchu. We are taking a tour...Any suggestions will be helpful..It doesn't look like the weather will be too hot?? Anyone gone at this time of the year? Thanks.

We're just back. Weather was mixed. Jeans & t-shirts for daytime with jumpers & fleeces and jackets for evenings.

I was just there last year at this time. You can dress for Lima, Cusco, Ollanta and MP the same way this time of year. Expect pleasant temperatures (60s) during the day and chilly nights. The coldest temps will be in Cusco where it should get down into the low 40s (maybe high 30s) at night.

Puerto Maldonado will be the oddball that you're tossing in to the mix. It gets very warm there during the day (high 80s, maybe low 90s).

Why are you going to Puerto Maldonada? We went there when we went to a lodge down(up)river on the Amazon. The town is very poor and we did not see anything of interest. Do buy sugar-coated brazil nuts...very good.

We are also going to a Jungle Lodge....not staying there...
