Going to Margarita
 

My wife and I are going to Lagunamar, Margarita for 2 weeks in June. Any information that will help make my holiday more enjoyable is very welcome. I know very little about the place except what I got on the net.

Hi Pat, we went to margarita in february and had a great time. We stayed at the Costa Caribe but I heard only good things about the Lagunamar from my friend who lives in Caracas. I made friends with a tour operator that lives on Margarita and still stay in touch with him. He could give you alot of advice. I want to go back.

We are going in two weeks. It was going to be a dream vacation,until all this political issues. I still plan to go and hope I make it to the Island. We will be at the Lagunimar, too. We plan on the "inclusive" plan, as that sounds good from what I have read from other prior guests. But I also hear that the standards of accomodations may not be what you are used too. It sounds great and maybe can tell you more next month!

WE ARE NOW GETTING VERY EXCITED FOR OUR TRIP. THERE ARE ALOT OF SAILING/BOAT TOURS. ALSO JEEP TOURS AND OTHER VARIOUS ATTRACTIONS. MANY NICE BEACHES FROM WHAT I HEAR. LAGUNIMAR HAS SEVERAL RESTURANTS AND POOLS THAT SOUND GREAT. WE LIVE ON USA EAST COAST AND I HEARD ANGEL FALLS HAS A RED BEACH AND SAND. THAT'S ALL FOR NOW. LINDA AND RON

Pat,<BR>I went to MI in March and I definitely would return. I can't comment on your digs but I never traveled and came home with money!!! Tourism really has not totally over run the island. Hence, I left with money!!! I found driving fine in the countryside and admit that Portlamar was challenging. The people were friendly and went out their way to help. A Spanish phrase book is a must unless your Spanish is good. Have you visited the Margarita Message Board ?? Good place for answers.<BR><BR>Have a great time.<BR>Joan

Can anybody who has recently been to the LagunaMar resort on Isla Margarita give an update on their experience?<BR><BR>Was the resort nice? Did you use the all inclusive option? How were the activities and shows? Did you stay on the resort the whole time or take side trips? Were your travel arrangements reasonable or was there a lot of delay or lost luggage, etc...?<BR><BR>Anything else to know in planning a trip to isla Margarita and LagunaMMar resort?<BR><BR>Maria
