Going to Manzanillo this Saturday. Hurricane Sergio???

It is currently being predicted that by this weekend Tropical Storm Sergio will be a hurricane 125 miles off Manzanillo. Uh-OH! I am supposed to arrive this Saturday. But what does 125 miles off the coast mean? That seems quite far. Will it have a major affect on the weather or just somewhat? Anybody familliar with Hurricanes PLEASE HELP. I'm freaking out here.

I have travel insurance. I wonder if I should cancel. ??

Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks.

As of this morning, Tropical Storm Sergio has turned into a hurricane. The Nat'l Hurricane Ctr is still unsure of it's path. They predict that it will stay over the sea but even so it will have a heavy affect on the coastal regions with heavy rain and wind.

I guess I'll just have to wait to see where it goes.

I imagine heavy wind and rain would mostly likely cancel my flight.

'Tho now a big Cat 3 and expected to be a Cat 4 tomorrow and Fri, not much expected onshore if the track projections hold.
If you can reschedule for Christmas week, without penalty, I would consider same.
We'll be at Careyes for Christmas.
