getting one place to another

What are the options to get from place to place in Belize? For ex: Airport to Crystal Paradise Resort? Crystal Paradise to Ambergris? Thanks.

Same options as most places: Air, bus or water taxi, rental car, hotel transport, or shuttle van on the mainland.

To Crystal Paradise -- fly to San Ignacio, around Us$80 per person, have the hotel provide it (US$100 for the party), shuttle van to San Ignacio (US$30 per person), rental car (from Us$60 a day), taxi (about Us$80 to $100)

To San Pedro -- the above back to Belize City, and from there fly (US$22 to $52 per person one-way, depending on whether you're flying from municipal or international and whether you're flying Maya Island or Tropic -- Maya Island rates are currently lower) or water taxi (US$14 one-way)

Probably shuttle and water taxi would be best for us. Is there a certain company that is reputable? ( We had trouble with greyline in Costa Rica, where interbus was great. ) Do we need to book in advance or is it pretty easy to do as we go in Belize?
Thanks again for all your help.

We stayed at Crystal Paradise last year and Mr. Tut (the owner) picked us up at the airport. I can't recall what the price was but it worked out well for us. He even stopped at the zoo for a short visit on the way there..

The water taxis you want are the Caye Caulker Water Taxi Association boats (despite the name, they go to Ambergris Caye and Caye Chapel as well as Caye Caulker) leave from the Marine Terminal near the Swing Bridge in Belize City. Boats leave for San Pedro roughly every hour and a half. No need to reserve in advance, but you should try to get there a little early.

On shuttles, you should arrange in advance. Hotel Aguada (they have a Web site) in Santa Elena is one that runs a shuttle into San Ignacio.

As noted, Crystal Paradise will pick you up, probably for around Us$100 for the party. That would be the easiest way.
