getaway out of Houston
After two day evaluation at MDAnderson, we'd like to relax and enjoy. Where to go? Drive, fly, we are open.
We have 3-4 days for a holiday. Must book for Mar. 23-26. |
Did you mean to post this on the Europe forum -- my guess you would be staying in the States?? Or Mexico or the Caribbean??
Are you leaving on the getaway from Houston and would you want to stay in Texas? Or are you leaving from your home city - ?? |
Willing to go mexico, other out of houston....mistakenly put in european post, thanks

Mexico is perfect for your request. I would look at what flights work best for you... the Caribbean side (Cancun), the Baja (Los Cabos), or the Pacific coast (Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta).

actually, you don't have to fly from Houston to either Mexico coast, there are nonstop flights from IAH to the center of Mexico, to BJX (Leon). I did that once and visited Guanajuato (which I loved) and San MIguel de Allende.
But depends what your idea of "relaxing" means. If it means doing nothing and sitting on a beach, sure, I'd choose the Mexican Riviera. United also flies nonstop to Cancun from IAH, you can easily get to Tulum or some nice AI on the beach, if you want. And of course you can fly nonstop from there to Mexico City, if you wanted, but I think the small towns in the central area are more relaxing. The weather in Guanajuato in March would be great, it's not the rainy season yet but temps probably 70-80 in afternoon. |
Belize and Costa Rica are also popular destinations.
