Gardel Tango~ Can you tell me how the seats are arranged. Cena VIP is $550 pesos...expensive!

There are 5 different "Tarifas Al Publico according to the information that I received this morning from Gardels.

Centa Show Platea $250 (with Dinner)
Solo Show Platea $170 (show only)
Ejecutive $400 (not sure what this is)
Cena Vip $500. (dinner & show VIP)
Show Vip $340. (show only VIP)

Do you know that the difference is between the Ejecutive and the Cena VIP???

Unless the food is really amazing, maybe we should eat elsewhere and go for just the show? or what would you suggest.

Can you tell me how the seating is arranged...are all the seats good?

Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Thank you!!!

There are photos of the seating on the web site. I have never tried the VIP or Ejecutive seating or dinner, so I can't comment...but on the main floor, patrons who have the dinner show are seated closer to the stage than those who do not choose the dinner option. Food is clearly not the reason to go here...it is average by BA standards.

Prices have gone up considerably in the past year at the major Tango shows...I paid US50 (150pesos) about a year ago....and over U$80 this year for another major show (Sr. Tango).

I have been to three shows this year, once to Sr. Tango and twice to Taconeando...the latter is a much smaller venue, but the dancing is excellent...for 80 pesos including dinner, well worth the money.

dr dawggy.
Thank you very much for that information. I guess if we want a "good" seat, we'll have to spring for dinner too.

Woud that be the Centa Show Platea for $250. ??

Yes, it would be the Cena Show Platea for 250pesos. At most dinner shows the steak is the safest and best option on the menu.

I don't remember at Carlos Gardel, but at Sr. Tango and most other shows you can reserve a specific table when you book.
