Four Seasons Food-Costa Rica

Is the food still first rate at the FS in Costa Rica? The MAP is $78/person. Does this sound reasonanle based on current al a carte menu prices?
With no resturants in the immediate area you are locked into eating at the hotel which is fine if it is as good as it was 9 months ago.

I was at the FS for four nights last week. The food was great. I did the MAP and now regret it. Breakfast buffet is $20. That means you need to spend $60 on dinner for the meal plan to make sense. The difference ultimately comes down to what you drink with your meals. If you drink alcohol (wine, mixed drinks, ect...), which is not included in the meal plan, you should NOT choose the MAP. If you order regular beverages, including bottled water and latte's, the MAP may make sense. Next time no MAP for us.

Is the FS as great as it looks? What is the best way to get there? We are going to CR on our Honeymoon in Nov and want to end up at the FS - how many days should we spend there?

Yes, it's as good as advertised. The architecture, service, food and setting are amazing. I'm ready to go back. Easiest way to get there is to fly to liberia. The airport in Liberia is 30 minutes from the resort. We spent 4 nights at the FS. Anything less is too short. Onw week would be great, but there are other great locations to visit in CR.
