Four Seasons Dining-Good-Excellent?

How have you found the food at the Four Seasons the past 3-4 months? How about prices-lower than other FS? Thanks.

Assume you are asking about the FS Papagayo. We were there for a week recently. Thought the food was fine to good. The breakfast buffet was quite good. Prices are steep I think for what was certainly good, but not knock your socks off food. We could easily spend $100-120 for two people with no desert or coffee and one glass of wine. The dinner buffet is $45 (Fri, Sat and Wed).

We stayed at the Four Seasons for 4 days in June and thought the food to be very good especially compared to other restaurants that we ate at while in Costa Rica.

We used the MAP plan and found it to be very cost effective. We used the breakfast and dinner plan as the breakfast is a huge buffet and held us until dinner. The appetizers and desserts were delicious and we were able to enjoy them without feeling like we were spending a lot more for them. We inquired at the front desk when we arrived at Four Seasons and were able to purchase the MAP at that time.

We thought the resort to be great and enjoyed our experience there.

Can anyone recall the price of the "MAP"? We'll have a four wheel drive vehicle so we may prefer to go off and find lunch and dinner else where...

Just thought I would mention for what it's worth--the Four Seasons is designed in such a way that it takes about 20 minutes just to leave the property. Then you'll have another 40 minutes (at the least), perhaps even an hour to drive somewhere else to eat such as Hermosa or Coco. Just a heads-up in case you are thinking you might eat several meals off the property.
