Soccer ends in early Dec. and locals will be concentrating on Xmas shopping.

Except for San Telmo on Sunday and going to Tigre for a boat tour of our Delta, I can't think of what else you could do during those days. It could be quite warm, too.

Horse riding anyone?

Dear avrooster, when you say that you can not think of what we should do on those days, will things be closed prior to Christmas Day, can we not do the regular sightseeing wonders?

wylie, I thought this was interesting , regarding how Christmas will be here...this will be our first Christmas , living in Buenos Aires and it will be odd for us with it being the middle of summer.
I think there is plenty to do, the museums and landmarks can be visited, the neighborhoods and cafes ..
I like the idea of going to Tigre..you can take a ferry over to Colonia for the day too..you will be here such a short time, I think you will find plenty to keep you busy

My answer above was confusing.

What I meant was that there won't be much to do as far as sports events are concerned.

You can, of course, visit the "regular sightseeing wonders" any time, such as "the museums and landmarks" and "the neighborhoods and cafes", as the previous poster indicated or go horse riding, as I suggested.

Since we are talking about only two and a half days, I'd say, repeating myself, that Tigre and San Telmo are the two things you should not miss, at that time of the year, if your stay is so short.

Have a great time in our town.
