Football Questions: Cienciano and Primera División Peruana
 

Hi,

I'll be in Cuzco for a few days in March (~8-14th). I'm trying to figure out the Peruvian football (soccer) league and find out when the games are for the '08 season, and how I can get tickets to see Cienciano at their stadium in Cuzco.

Would appreciate any leads.

Try the tripadvisor forum. There's a chance that someone there might know the answer.

We had actually wondered about the same question, but we never asked it, because we think that the season will be over by the time we go in late June/early July.

If you turn up in Cusco you should be able to buy a ticket from the Ciencias High School (in Plaza San Francisco) in the days before the game. (ie you walk up to the main doors and to the right is a hole in the wall with a bit of butchers paper with the next fixture on it!)
On the day of the game, you can buy the tickets at the Stadium or as you approach hundreds of scalpers try to offer you tickets. Occidental are the best places to sit and sur y norte the worst.
You should get an occidental ticket for 18-20 soles.

Thanks so much guys for the info. Unfortunately I found the schedule and it doesn't look like there are any home games for cienciano the days I'm there. Oh well.
