Food in Argentina

I'm travelling to Buenos Aires soon. From what I read about food everything is about meat and more meat! As a semi-vegetarian (I may eat fish) I am a bit worried about what I am going to eat. Is it easy to find good fish or vegetarian food, or good salads? Tks for any help.

Salmon is on most menus. The pasta is wonderful. Sushi is gaining in popularity. There are vegetarian options in most places....and some vegetarian restaurants. See the thread on restaurants for specific suggestions.

You might have read in Fodors postings about meat only because meat is excellent in Argentina and for those who enjoy meat is only natural the rave about it. But by no means this can be translated that there are not tons of restaurants that offer great sea food, and delicious vegetables. There are also vegetarian restaurants.
Did you think everybody is a red meat eater and all restaurants offer read meat...???? Not likely in a sophisticated city of several million people, in a country that exports grains to all the world, and also vegetables and excellent fruits. One of the things I really enjoyed when living in Bs As, was to to to a Verduleria that is a shop that sells only fruits and vegetables and buy delicious fare.
As drdawggy said there is food for all tastes in the Buenos Aires menus....

Thank you both, I am very relieved. Perhaps I've been reading the wrong stuff about B.A. :)) Good to know there are plenty of options.

In fact, even in restaurants which offer mostly meat, you can get good salads.

Most meat restaurants also offer creamed spinach and a mashed pumpkin squash dish that is quite tasty....
