Flying to Costa Rica and Timeshare

I am considering a family trip (about 8 of us) out to Costa Rica next summer. We will be flying from Dallas/Ft. Worth Texas. Does anyone know the airlines that fly there and suggestions. is there just one airport.

I might try to use a timeshare to fit all of us. If anyone has stayed in a timeshare there that they can recommend - please let me know.

American Airlines flies from Dallas to San Jose. There is also an international airport in Northern Guanacaste, Liberia. I know United, Delta, and Tica fly there, not sure about American. Continental flies from Houston to both San Jose and Liberia.

If you fly into Liberia as Guanacaste as trixiew mentioned, you might be interested in Condovac in Playa Hermosa. I think it is an RCI property. We've visited there, had lunch at the pool bar--looked nice. Sits up on a hill overlooking the bay.

Hi I am staying at two timeshares Dec 2nd to 16th in Guanacasta Province on the Papagayo Gulf. Giardini di P. and Occidental Allegro P. When I first tried to book a 1 bedroom I got no response after three months using the SFX Exchange. I switched to a studio using my Club Intrawest RCI exchange and got two studios almost immediately; however, they are all inclusive - no kitchen facilities. If you want larger facilities and to be able to cook your own food I suggest you identify the suitable hotels first as I don't think there are many. On the other hand if you book two or three studios and are happy with the all inclusive go ahead. If you book early you shouldn't have much difficulty.
My hotels look great and the RCI reviews are good.
