Flying Taca from SJO to LAX

Would like info. on flights from SJO to LAX and back on Taca. I only have an hour to connect in San Salvador and wonder if that has ever been a problem for anyone. Also wondering what the baggage allowance is if one part of flight says Lacsa. I think it is 2 checked bags free. Thanks. Donna

The short connection in San Salvador is no problem. I believe Lacsa is has taken over TACA . One in the same now.

Yes, I was assuming it is a small airport and easy to get through in San Salvador. I think Taca is the main one of the mergers... Lacsa is still Costa Rica. Thanks for your response, Michelle.

Lacsa was absorbed into Taca years ago. Now Taca has become part of Avianca.

We flew from Managua to Belize City on Taca last year. I was really worried about our 35 minute connection.

It was no problem. There is no Immigration or Customs to deal with. The only time you have to deal with those is if your destination is El Salvador.

Nice airport. Lots of duty free shops. They were even giving away free samples of booze at some of them. We didn't have time to partake though.

Has Anyone flown from the States to Costa Rica on Taca?

I flew SFO to San Jose about 5 years ago. It was fine.

We've also flown on TACA from states to CR and other destinations - they always did well by us!
