Flying Sansa Quepos to SJ
This coming January, I am looking to fly Sansa from Quepos to San Jose to catch a 1:20pm Continental flight?
Do you think it's safe to take a 10:02am Sansa flight from Quepos, which is scheduled to arrive in San Jose at 10:32am? I would much prefer that to the earlier 8:23am Sansa flight, but also don't want to miss my Continental flight, and don't know how reliable Sansa is in terms of being on time. Thoughts? rcrcr |
We took Sansa from the Osa to SJO, and they were late getting us - almost an hour late. I was glad we had taken the early flight just as a precaution. I think you'd probably be okay, but there is a slight risk.

Agree with volcanogirl. IF they are on time, you should be okay. I'd say you're looking at 50/50. HOWEVER, if they are, say, an hour late, you'll still get in at 11:20 or so, which SHOULD be okay for your connection.
I had a similar situation trying to make a 12:50 Continental flight in July. Flew into Pavas (Nature Air) with a 30 minute drive to SJO. Arrived Pavas about 10:50 or 11:00 (later than scheduled). Got to SJO about 11:20, and it worked out just fine. I was very tense, though! I really think you'll be okay. |
It really is a crapshoot. So far, my flights have always been right on the dime, but with any airline - you can never tell for sure. I think you should be okay though.

Thanks, folks. I booked the 10:02 flight. I figured, hey, even if Sansa is 1hr late, I will still have 2 hours before the Continental flight leaves SJO.
I know, I know, famous last words! Right? rcrcr |
