Flying in and out of Panama

We were planning on doing only carryon luggage to/from Panama. Last visit 6 years ago. My memory is that I brought my nail scissors, e.g., into Panama from US but that they were taken away from me at the airport in Panama going home to US. I am pretty sure it will be same now but anyone know if we can bring in such things as travel size shave cream, disposal razors? That is, do US standards apply going into Panama but Panama standards which are stricter apply leaving. Trying to not be confused!

Love Panama and look forward to our return.

For liquids and gels, it'll be exactly the same flying out of Panama as in the U.S.: Maximum size 3 oz/100 ml containers in the ziploc bag. If they take your nail scissors, they take your nail scissors. That's that. You buy a new pair when you get back home.

You'll go through airport security with the x-rays and magnetic detectors. You'll go through another hand search of your carry-on bags at the gate before you board the plane.
