Flights from Lima to Cusco-which airline?

I am wondering whether anyone has any preferences for airlines from Lima to Cusco. I am aware of Tans, Lan Peru and Taca airlines. Also, what is a good price for a round trip, or what should I expect for mid April?

Thank you.

I flew both Tans and Lan Peru a few months ago. Lan is a bit nicer - for instance on a short Lan Peru flight we were served a snack, and the airplane interior seemed to be new and clean. Tans was fine, though a bit shabbier. I was surprised that both planes were large (3-3 configuration). Price is relative - but I felt that US$160 per person (round trip) was pretty good.

I agree with hlphillips2: All are acceptable, but I think Lan is a phenomenal airline, with the best service and punctuality. (That's been my experience at least.) They'll likely be a little more expensive than Tans.

My experience with LanPeru was very good.

Another vote for Lan Peru.

Thank you everyone. I looked at the Lans website and there are numerous price options. Is there much of a difference in seat quality in the economy section?

I'm not sure of your country of origination, so please forgive me if this information isn't helpful in your situation - and regardless you may have better luck than I! I was unable to make the reservation online without picking it the tickets in Lima or Miami (I believe those were the two options). When I phoned their toll free number to have the tickets sent to my home I was told that the only price available over the phone was the highest priced ticket. I ended up using a few travel agents to purchase the tickets (all of whom were also arranging various portions of our trip already).

But - despite what we paid which varied for each flight, there was no difference in where we were seated. And hopefully you'll have better luck with your reservations with this information in hand.

Kind of on the same subject...
What is allowed for carry-on luggage on Local flights. Any problem with standard roll-on suitcases?
We travel a great deal and are loath to check bags because of the problems we have encountered over the years.
We are also flying LAB from Lima - LaPaz and LaPaz-Cuzco.

What are the local policies?
Thanks for any information.
