Have you checked with America West Airlines? We're flying out of Seattle with a stop in Phoenix for $428 pp. We're flying out on July 6 and return July 20th.

What beautiful photographs!! What camera and lenses did you use? Can you recommend a point and shoot? Haven't decided yet on digital or film.

sukiduper,
I like my compact Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ2 5 megpixel with 6x optical zoom and stabilization. The macro mode is sweet and when I use macro for longer shots and with the small point focus I can get some decent animal pics at a distance. I was just learning how to use it this year but got some good pics and know I can do better than some I've posted. I paid about $218. at Circut City. If you can spend more, a higher optical zoom may be a better choice. Depends what you want to shoot. I've posted some photo albums of my last two CR trips on this site http://rvincent3.photosite.com if you care to look. I have also used software Photoshop Elements 4 to crop and enhance color for the albums. Some of the birds were shot at long distance with the addition of a scope the guide was lugging around for us.
