Flight from Santiago to Easter Island
 

Will the r/t tickets on Lan Airlines be any less expensive if I buy them after I get to Chile? Should I buy directly from Lan Airlines or a travel agent? What about buying them in Argentina before going to Chile??

Buy them directly in Chile, in LAN can be ok, just check the days they fly so you can shedule your time too.

Thanks, vivir. I've seen some good replies from your recently! How far in advance should I buy them--do we pay a premium for waiting until a week or so before departure time? We like to travel with a pretty definite itiniary but few advance reservations!

How far in advance/Few reservations!!it depends on the time of the year you are going to Easter Island. Peek time is from Dec to March. You might want to vistit LAN's website, has specials every Monday afternoon. Flight frecuency is two days a week, a quick advise is to check LAN's website as if you where already in Chile( if you do not speak/read spanish you can use www.worldlingo.com to translate)

UPDATE:
I purchased round-trip tickets on Lan web site for $505US pp with a credit card. It is considerably cheaper to go on a Tuesday and return on a Friday! We leave Jan 31 and return Feb 3. I think 3 nights will be enough for us.
