When you get to BdC, there will be a book in your room listing all the hikes and activities. You could spend days just hiking their trails. We did the Primary Forest Tour with Phillip, and it was a great intro. for us. We also did an early morning birding hike with Carlos that we loved. And we visited the animal sanctuary via boat - neat experience. Titi trail seems to have the greatest animal sightings, but we saw all 4 kinds of monkeys and scarlet macaws just from the front porch of our cabin. A little hiking yielded toucans, a sloth, and pelicans. It's a wonderful place. We met friends there that surfed and took a boat out fishing - you might look at their website for more details.

It really is; I think you will just love it. There's another hike that's popular - a night hike. We didn't do it at BdC, but we did one in Monteverde, and it was a lot of fun.

Also keep in mind that activities back in PJ can add-up pricewise, so if you can find others that are looking to go fishing or the like, it's best to go with others as your rate will be halved at least. The hour before dinner is a good time to chat with others there and see what their plans are, or if you can always ask Gerly or Carlos at the front desk is anyone signed up for xxx the next day and they can tell you. For surfing they can run you down to Matapalo and pick you up later; Kevin, one of the drivers, or Phil, the owner, probably would have the best & most current info about the surfing conditions. Have a great time!
