FIRST TIME IN P.V. HELP
 

STAYIHG AT THE COSTA VIDA VALLARTA, I UNDERSTAND IT IS 4 MIN. SOUTH OF DOWNTOWN. IS THIS A GOOD LOCATION? HAS ANYONE EVER STAYED HERE? GOING APRIL 4 SO PLEASE RESPOND.

Hi Elaine,<BR>I don't know the Costa Vida but I can tell you that a location 4 minutes south of downtown is excellent. I stay in that area (I stay at the Camino Real). Have fun.

I don't know about the place where you are staying, but I believe south of town is the best spot... the old area of puerto vallarta is magnificent, and there are so many great restaurants there too.

South of The Old Town about a ten minute walk to the Camino Real which has by far the better beach. The resort has nice rooms and Pool area. Friends stayed there I stopped by and took a look. The Area is Gorgeous and by far much nicer than the hotel zone. The beach in front is not much very rocky. Do not swim out to far as my friend got caught in a rip tide and nearly drowned. Good little Beach just down the road at Concha Chinas (El Set Restaurant). BTW the Camino Real has the Best Beach.

Forgot to Add There are some wonderful Restaurants In PV. Cafe Olla (family run Restaurant) get there early as I remember there was always a Line Up. Cafe Brazil, and Le Bistro(Expensive) but wonderful setting on the River Caule under the Bridge.

Hi Elaine! We just returned stayed 2 weeks at the Costa Vida.The only way it is 4 min. from town(Old town) is if you flew. It's a 10 min. bus ride to Old Town (4.50 pesos). The resort is clean,well-kept, quiet(alot of older people), food is expensive, good entertainment in the evening. Beach-short and not swimmable. Free internet service,gym,towel service.
