Finding Romance in Mexico
 

I have been to many islands in the Caribbean but was never in Mexico. I am looking for a very upscale resort with beautiful rooms and beaches. Also an extremely romantic setting would be real helpful

Look at Ikal Del Mar ...VERY romantic, beautiful beach and only 4 miles from Playa Del Carmen!

Ally, have you been to Ikal del Mar? What is the beach like? Crowded? European topless or not? How was the food & rooms? Is it best to get a room near the beach because of the mosquitos?

Have not stayed at the hotel, only saw it. Beach was beautiful, and not crowded at all compared to the big resorts in Playa. Seemed to be about the same mix of Europeans. I can't answer other questions as I've not stayed there. I have a friend who's getting married there this Oct., so I'll be sure to get all the news from her!
