Finca Valmy contact info

For Manuel Antonio, CR - Since my hotel doesn't use Finca Valmy I've been trying to contact FV to pre-book with no success. The e-mail I'm using is [email protected] , anyone have another way to contact or should I keep waiting? (Most recent e-mail I sent was 05/01) Or can I just call when I get there? Thanks!

Hi, You may be on the list with many. I get as many as 100 emails a week and just can't answer them all. In the states we are expecting an instant reply... does not always happen in Costa Rica.

Your email address is correct,
Try going to the website:
www.valmytours.com and sending it through that... click contact us, of course. Probably goes the same route, but you might as well try.
Be sure and get the phone number from the website and put it with your things.

Since they answered our initial email within 24 hours and answered all subsequent emailed questions within a day, I suspect somethign is wrong with their internet server. To not have answered at all is completely unlike the immediacy of the responses we experienced. "Hope" wold be especially right then, s there may be a backlog and long list if indeed, there was a period when they could not respond.
Pehaps you could try phoning?? 011-506-779-1118. It is not expensive from USA (assuming that's where you are). OR I'll bet you could wait til you got there. Personally, I'd rather have the dates set up in advance, as I'm a bit compulsive about such things.
Good luck. From what my kids said---the tour with Finca Valmy crew (Valentin and staff) is unforgettable.

I have also had problems getting a response and have sent 2 emails in the past few weeks. I am still waiting for a reply, but may try giving them a call if I dont hear from them by the end of the week.

Thanks for the responses, guess I wanted to make sure I didn't have some old e-mail addy. I will probably give them a call in the next few days too.

Hi tully,

I just wanted to see if you had any luck getting a response from Valmy tours. I also e-mailed them with no reply. I called them today but noboby spoke english. We are trying to set something up for Sunday, May 15th. The number that I called is (011-506-779-1118). Please let me know if you have any other way of contacting them.
Thanks

Today's edition (May 6, 2005)of AM Costa Rica is reporting problems w/ our internet provider RACSA. Here's a link to the article: http://www.amcostarica.com/morenews.htm

Maybe this is the source of the problem? Hopefully soon to be corrected. :)

Lisa,
Thanks for the tip about the internet provider. Maybe it's already fixed, because I just got an e-mail from Cesar. Cesar sounds like a really nice guy- he answered all of my questions. As long as I have your attention I have a question for you. Do you think it would be to late in the day to start a tour of M/A park as late as noon? We won't arrive to our hotel until 10:30 and don't want to miss any of the animals.

Thanks
cooper

I also just recieved an email from Cesar. He was able to book my tour no problem. Glad to hear from him.

Cesar must be busy tonight - got my response today too! I'm booked for the 24th, sooo looking forward to it after hearing all the great things here.

Thanks to all for posting that they heard from Cesar at FV!! As I wrote above, he was so immediate, patient, kind (and fun !) with his responses to me and my family--then for you all to hear nothing. I was starting to get worried ! Says a lot about the crew at Finca Valmy, that a small business causes that amount of concern.
Pura vida!

cooper: I typed a response a few days ago but for some odd reason, it didn't post. Sorry! I think you'd still be okay to enter the park by 12 noon. However, a few concerns are that they do limit the number of people who enter the park on a daily basis (so you might be out of luck, but should be okay) also it's hotter in the afternoon (but just jump in the water and cool off), also the possibility of an afternoon rain. I highly recommend you hire a park guide to see the most wildlife. You can do this near the entrance to the park and negotiate your price directly w/ the guide. It is much less expensive than going thru a tour organization. Enjoy your trip!
