Ferry Cancun to Mujeres

Can anyone tell me whether the ferries from Puerto Juarez do stop between 2030 and 2330 as some websites say - or whether theres a service in between as others say...
arriving cancun airport 1830 next week and worried might miss the 2030. With 2 small kids in tow after transatlantic flight not desperate to hang around quayside for hours in dark...

With 2 hours, you will probably not have a problem making that 2030 ferry (though it can sometimes take a while in Cancun to navigate the lines at immigration and baggage claim --- not to mention running the gauntlet of timeshare salesmen masquerading as people you might care about).

Even if you do miss the ferry, there are usually boats you can hire if you're in a hurry to get there. (If you're really worried about it, you could also just book a hotel in Cancun someplace for that first night, then do the ferry in the morning...)

Good luck!

thanks - was hoping we'd make - any idea how much getting our own boat should cost if worst came to worst - they'd have us over a barrel that time of night..
paid for isla hotel cos can't face even night in cancun so do need to get there!

I agree with TioGringo--I think you will make it but might be close depending on lines at Cancun immigration, etc.
I also agree about not wanting to face a night in Cancun! However, if you do get stuck, the Hotel Alux is a block from the bus station with clean and reasonable rooms.

Since you have a family, I would suggest using cancunvalet to transport you to PJ as this is the fastest choice.
According to the site below there is a 23:30 ferry BUT I can't say for certain. Good luck!

With the new ferry there is no gap between 8:30 and 11:30 - the ferries run every hour, but I am not sure what time the last one leaves (I think midnight). Ask your question on www.isla-mujeres.net, which is a tremendous source of info for the island.
