Thanks guys, I will have to look up Luna Nueva because that sounds like an interesting place to be. Along with the fresh market. You guys are giving me some great tips. Thank you.

We are not aged, but we all have issues with back, knees and legs so any tour that does involve a great deal of walking would be so much appreciate those. Thank you in advance.

Hi again, I am seeing that there are good market places in San Jose and nice handcrafted souvenirs can be picked up. Anyone recommend any great items. Coffee will be on the list. Also for night life I see San jose does have a place called El Tobagan which is in a good neighborhood and is where merengue dancing i popular. Thi sounds like fun. Anyone been there or have suggestions for night life?

Chess, the Penas Blancas river float is nice for people who don't want to do a lot of walking. The Cano Negro tour is great for seeing wildlife; the road is a little bumpy getting there though so not sure about your back. And Proyecto Asis mentioned above is nice.

As far as souvenirs, we like the carved wooden items. There are some good ones at the airport if you don't find anything you like. Coffee is always good and Linzano sauce. There's also some nice hand painted tile work.
