What is your favorite place to stay in Bocas and why?

Anxious to read responses to this. We are planning a swing through there next year.

Saw some of the replies you got on another board. There are some strange people on that one. No wonder there are so many AA meeting places in CR. The primary reason we are looking to buy where there aren't many other gringos.

We loved Cocomo by the Sea! A great hotel, with cozy rooms just a few minutes walk from the main road. There are only 4 rooms so the service is very personable. Comfortable beds, A/C, warm water, clean rooms, etc. We loved it and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Thanks Travelersusan! I'll look into it. We're thinking of spending one night in town or close to it and then two nights at either Al Natural or Punta Caracol.

We are going to stay at Punta Caracol next week, and I'll let you know how it is when we get back.

We loved Panama and Punta Caracol. I posted a review of Punta Caracol and a trip report when we returned the end of March. I'll move them to the top.
