family visit to nuevo vallarta in late june

we have been to PV 3 times and love the place. this is the first time that we are taking family - my son's family that includes 5 & 7 year old boys. staying at the grand mayan but don't want to eat there much - too expensive and not that good. plan to hit the mega store upon arrival so we can eat some meals in. also plan to head into the city once or twice but kind of a hassle with kids, especially in the summer heat. any suggestions for restaurants in vuevo area. like in paradise plaza?

thanks for your help.

fajita republic. very short taxi ride from mayan palace. very good food, great atmosphere and surprisingly affordable. you won't be disappointed!

or take a taxi to Bucerias, just north of Nuevo.

go to Frascati, in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle,
Great place for pizza, pasta, and it is ok for children,
Prices are affordable, and it is open everyday for dinner.
La Cruz is a nice town, located 10 minutes from bucerias, it is on the way to Punta De Mita.

No Traffic in Sayulita, you've got to be kidding ?
I was there about 6 weeks ago and it took us 45 min to find a place to park !
And it was 'chock a block' with tourists.

In Bucerias try Meison Bay, Eva's Brickhouse, Karen's Place.

I love Sayulita...we did a day trip there and next time i just might go there only. we had dinner at Don Pedro's (i think that's the name of the spot).
