Family of 13 travelling week of Christmas

I need location help! Family of 13 (7 adults, 6 kids) travelling week of Christmas. Main goal is fishing for the men, lots of activities for the kids. I chose Manuel Antonio but houses for that week are OUTRAGEOUS! $10,000 being one of the cheapest. So I was wondering if someone could suggest an alternative location?

Did you check Tulemar Bungalows? We love it there. Rates all over CR skyrocket during Christmas though.

Prices skyrocket everywhere over the Christmas/New Year's week. I know my go-to spot (PV in Mexico) hotel rooms get double or more their usual price that week. And with 13 people needing beds, I just don't see a way around that part.

I knew it was peak high season but I just didn't realize the prices would be that high. Looking at hotels in that area, I actually think that will work better for us. I did check Tulemar, $900 per night for 1bedroom

The prices I found seem different.

I went back and looked, I saw those rates on Expedia. I will check availability through their website.

Yea, it looks a lot lower. I like them because they have their own beach, and the units all have a kitchen/frig - great for keeping breakfast stuff on hand, etc. Tulemar has tons of different accommodation styles with different numbers of rooms, etc. The bungalows are probably the cheapest though. We've also stayed in Mot Mot and Casa Panorama there.

Other popular spots are Costa Verde, Villas Nicolas, Arena del Mar, Mango Moon, Si Como No, and La Posada Jungle Lodge. You could check those, although they're probably pricey during that time frame too.

Look into houses in the Dominical/Uvita area. It's cheaper and much less built up than Manuel Antonio. Plenty of activities and great restaurants, too. Check Homeaway or Vrbo.
