You are so lucky! I visited the most remote parts of Panama in the Darien Province several years ago. THat particular trip classified as adventure travel, as we went o a place NOT suggested for turistas! We were met at the dirt strip by 3 divisions of their government who evidently thought we were "government" types scoping out the area...they thought we were CIA, believe it or not. After they checked us out, they allowed us to go up the river to live with the Embera Indians for several days. Quite a cultural experience. Next time I go, I think I'll sick to the more traditional travel! Have fun!

Hi Everyone!
Jill, think I'll take our system, lol! I liked reading your info though, very interesting. The teachers sent home 2 very sweet notes, one saying Bella can catch up on the important things when she arrives home. The other suggesting little things to work on with Willem but both saying have a wonderful time.Whew, my mommy guilt has lessened!
Flamesfan, supposedly Panama has wonderful doctors, clinics, and hospitals, not on little Isla Grande I believe, closer to the larger cities.I'll scout the area though.
Hi Mary, the Darien Gap sounds very exciting and interesting, feel I need to be Rambo to go there!lol I'll stck to "on the beaten path" for the moment.... Trip report to come. Faith

Finally booked our first and last nights, good thing as we leave Monday! We booked the Country Inn Amador for the first night, our last night I found a great little B&B called La Cresta de Oro in the La Cresta neighbourhood. Should be great!

Well, faithie, you're counting the seconds by now, probably! I know you and your family will have a wonderful adventure--enjoy every minute! See, I CAN write short little notes. . .

Hi Jill, counting the minutes indeed! I'm very busy, just back from an overnite hockey tournament in Ottawa, needed to pack for that, unpack for that, hockey and soccer practices at the same time tomorrow but Francois at work. Send Will with the coach, I'm with Bella.... But dont get me wrong, I count my blessings and cherish all these little things. We didn't win a game but our boisterous children stayed up until 12:30 playing mini-stick hockey, hmmmm..... maybe thats WHY we didn't win!!! LOL
