What are the transportation options?

Taxis are said to cost about 60-65 pesos. Do they take dollars?

Anything better price-wise but still good for luggage?

I couldn't find any airport shuttle type of service when I searched a couple of months ago.

One thing, this will be Sunday morning/afternoon.

The official cars/remises at EZE were $65. pesos on 19 Oct.

They went up to 79 $ in Manuel Tienda Leon, however they offer too a bus ride into town. Which is worth it for one passanger. In Ezeiza there are also taxis outdoors for less than 79 but I never dare to take them. I am sure they might be ok but I never dare.
Going back from downtown to Ezeiza of course it is cheaper and options are many more, like a Remise called by the hotel was 55 pesos( end Oct), another option : you can have your hotel send you a remise which might be less that Tienda Leon's,but we are talking of very small difference.

Upon arrival I paid with a credit card.
The bus I forgot to mention takes you the door of your hotel, first it goes to the central of of MTL from there they send people in different small vans to their hotels.

Is that a remise?

Did you just arrange the ride when you arrived or before you left for BA?

Hi scrb "Manuel Tienda Leon" is the name of a company ( crazy as it sounds). Upon arrival after customs at your left you will see a big sign .
There are a couple of companies offering similar remise service there might be a difference of a couple of dollars among themselves.
You do not have to make reservations only approaching them right there and you give them the address where you are going and pay either with cash or a credit card.
Manuel Tienda Leon is the largest and best known company at the airports in Buenos Aires. They also offered as I said a bus service, a nice big bus . They take your luggage and I believe they give you a tag.
The last time I took the remise was on Sep 28,2006
going to downtown. They charged 79 pesos and I paid with Master Card. This is a little expensive but is the simplest way to get a remise. As I tried to explain in my previous posting it might be a little cheaper to ask for a Remise from a company out of the airport to be waiting for you with a sign and take you to your hotel. The fare is aparox. 55 pesos but you will have to add, the waiting, parking...
If you travel alone taking the bus of Manuel Tienda Leon would be cheaper. It is a door to door service but you have eventually you have to transfer to a van. The van will take you from their office near the Sheraton Hotel to your hotel.

Taking Tienda Leon was a snap. Right outside the exit from customs. Just give a credit card, and then they take you right to the car. Easiest way to travel, and for a difference of ten to fifteen pesos (US$3 or 5) probably not worth bothering to fuss with some other option. Our trip in was 70 pesos (we went just over a week ago).

I think depending on where you are going in BA, they will either put you in a van or your own car. We were in our own car, because we were going to Palermo Hollywood.

A van or your own car is a matter of choice, not destination.

On 19 Oct. we used World Car next to M T L and paid the $65. pesos (EZE- Hot Bobo in Palermo Soho) with a "no fee" USAA Visa CC.

Looks like the bus to Terminal Madero is 25 pesos. But my destination is on Pelligrini and Alvear so will they take me to the door?

I've tried emailing them in the past but they didn't respond.

Looking at the schedules, it looks like they run every half hour in the mornings (but maybe not on Sunday when I arrive?).

It would be nice to reserve a ride but if you can just walk out of Customs and book the ride there, that would be great. Only concern is the Sunday arrival and I would also need a ride back for the return flight, which departs EZE at 10:50 PM on Saturday, Nov 25.

Hi scrb, as I explained before, YES the bus is a door to door service. First the bus will take you to the Madero Terminal, then from there a small van will take you and your luggage to your hotel or any address. BTW
it is not far.
No reservation needed for the bus. To come back ask them if you wish to return by bus, may be you can get a taxi to the Madero Terminal, just a few pesos....they will tell you what to do.
