Ensenada, 1st time, please help

Please help:
Is the blow hole worth the trip?
Where can we go horseback riding?
How about a half day trip marlin fishing?
Music stores?
Restaurants?
Any suggestions?

Thank you.

i personally enjoy the trip down to the blow hole. pleasant drive. check around once you get there on the best time to go. we got there once at low tide and it wasn't blowing much.

The trip to the blow hole is very scenic. You will drive out of the main town and see street vendors selling crafts and delicious corn tamales ( you have to try them). At the blow hole there are many restaurants and craft shops. You can horse back ride at the beach, go to Estero beach which is probably the best beach area in Ensenada. Fishing is very popular in Ensenada and definitely worth doing if you enjoy fishing. Do not eat at El Mercado Negro, the quality of the food is very poor...many better options in other parts of the town. A trip to the wine valley is also nice while in Ensenada. L.A. Cetto has a beautiful winery in the valley....enjoy the trip.

When you say "drive out of the area" to the blow hole?
Do you mean "take a bus?"
What is the best way to get there?

L.A. Cetto Winery, how do you get there?

Will you have a car with you while in Ensenada? If not, there are many tour companies that will take you to the blow hole and to the wine valley. Both are about half an hour on car from downtown Ensenada. You can also pay a taxi driver a flat fee and they will take you to either place. It is very safe to drive if you have your own car, just make sure you buy Mexican insurance.

Can you recommend any tour company to use for the blow hole or winery?

Poncho,
We will be on a cruise. I guess we can go into town.
I am assuming there will be a bunch of tour groups offering either the blow hole or guadalupe winery tour.
Do you think this is the best way to to?

Will you be there only for the day? Most likely there will be tours offered by your cruise ship. If you are short on time, then going with them will be fine. I do not know names of tour companies. Have fun.

Poncho, we will only be there for one day. thanks for your help.

Stay close to your hotel at night. It can be dangerous for a first timer.
