Easter Island From Chile

Does anyone know how much and how long the trip from Chile to Easter Island is? I would love to hear about anyones time there as I am traveling back to South America this Summer and would love to get out to Easter Island.

Thanks

The trip takes 5 hours from Santiago on Lan Airlines. We bought our tickets on Lan's web site for about $250 pp rt several years ago. It takes working with different dates on the web site to get the lowest rate. We were on the island for 3 nights, which was long enough for us. We even were upgraded to "first" class as we boarded on the outbound flight!

Now the flight will cost at least 600 dollars.

I am visiting Easter Island via Papeete, Tahiti -- LAN also flies that route a few times a week. I'm using 75,000 American Airlines Aadvantage miles to visit Easter Island from New York, with a stopover in Tahiti. YOu can get exact price from LAN.com.
