Driving Time

Has anyone driven from Dominical area to Puerto Viejo (Cocles area) through the mountain route? Curious about drive time versus going back beach road to San Jose then to Puerto Viejo.

I cannot help you with this routing. We drove from Manuel Antonio to PV. It was a 9 hour drive. To break it up, we spent the night at some cool bungalows near Guapiles.

Thank you! I'm undecided. We may take the other route just to see something different and stay overnight somewhere along the way, like Turrialba.
