Drive around the Arenal lake to Tilaran...from Tilaran...take the way to Canas...once in canas...take Pan Am Hwy North to Liberia...in Liberia take the road (Left turn at the lights) to Mansion...around mansion you will see the signs to Tamarindo...in Huacas follwo the road to Flamingo and Conchal once you pass Brasilito...you will see a road sign to Playa Potrero!!

R.A Luis

Just buckle up and enjoy the ride in paradise!!

I think Luis meant Belen not Mansion. Mansion is the turnoff for Samara.

To get to the University of Georgia Campus in San Luis head back to the highway (21) at Belen but turn south towards Nicoya. 12 km past Nicoya turn left (east) on hwy 18 to the friendship bridge and the pan American hwy.

At the pan American hwy turn right then a few km later turn left towards Juntas. Follow the signs to Monteverde/Santa Elena. Pass through Santa Elena, Cerro Plano and Monteverde towns continuing towards the Cloud forest reserve about 1 km to the signed turn to the left for San Luis.

Alternatively you can continue south on the pan Am Highway past the turnoff for Juntas and take signed the road towards Monteverde at Rancho Grande that passes through Sardinal. From this road there is a signed turn for San Luis to the right.

Either way it'll be about a 3.5 hour drive.

There's a map here http://costa-rica-guide.com/travel/i...slicecenter=G7

Sorry, I made a mistake in the above

"towards the Cloud forest reserve about 1 km to the signed turn to the left for San Luis."

should read

"towards the Cloud forest reserve about 1 km to the signed turn to the RIGHT for San Luis.
