Driver in Cuernavaca

Does anyone know a contact for a driver in Cuernavaca? I need to go about 30 minutes from Cuernavaca, and I don't want to pay a full taxi fare to the location and back.

Won't a driver cost more? Figure $15.00 U.S. each way for a taxi.

We were told by locals that a taxi would be more expensive for that far of a distance. But taxi might be our only option.

The last time I was there was two years ago. At that time that was what we paid each way to Tepotzlan which is a litle more than 30 minutes each way. With the exception of major cities and tourist areas $15.00 should be more than get you a 30 minute trip. Talk to a couple of different taxi drivers. If you are not going to be long at your destination you might agree to an hourly rate which cold be cheaper. Also, if you are up to it you can probably take local buses.

Thanks for the info. We found a taxi driver today that will take us for $20, and pick us up the next day for $20 to take us back. And we found out it's more like 40 minutes away, so we think it's a pretty fair price.
