Drinking Water Punta Mita, Mexico

Hello,

Is it safe to drink the tap water in Punta Mita or best to stay with bottled?

I did a search of this forum but couldn't find anything on this subject.

I have found this forum to be very helpful. Many thanks.

Sandy

A resort like the one you are staying probably has a filtration system. However, I stick to bottled. Plus I always bring along some Cipro on my travels. It is required that all ice be made from purified water. So you will be ok with that. Businesses dealing with tourists want to make sure their customers stay healthy!

I just saw your other post. You are at the Four Seasons. The rich and famous stay there. The fruits and veggies will be fine to eat. Just be more careful when going out and about.

No guarantee in that area, it unfortunately doesn't have an International Standard Water Company, like Puerto Vallarta does. I'm sure all the resorts treat their water, but outside the resort use bottled.

I never drink tap water in Mexico.

Everywhere I have ever stayed (and I'm talking budget hotels and apartments) always provided purified or bottled water for drinking. So I'm pretty sure the Four Seasons will!
