Does Mexico....

receive US cable TV? In other words, would I be able to see a college football game carried on ABC?

Will be staying in the Mayan Riviera, but could go into Cancun to watch it...if that would be the best bet. Surely, sports bars in Cancun would have it?

Well, sure, but just like where you live, what cable channels your hotel/the bar/etc. offers will depend on the cable package they opt for. And probably the commentary will be in Spanish. Most cable packages I've come into contact with have had one or two channels in English, like say HBO, Fox, CNN, and ESPN. The networks usually came with Spanish dubbing.

I've never been to Mayan Riviera nor Cancun but when we go to Cabo we easily get the Jazz and Raiders games. We just got back from Costa Rica and they had the NBA playoffs on either in bars in town (Quepos) or at the hotel. Didn't have any problems in St. Croix either. I can't imagine you couldn't find your game in Cancun.
I go to Puerto Vallarta 3 - 4 times year and have no difficulty watching just about any game or sport that is being played in the states. The larger Sports Bars have satellite reception. No problemo - Dennis

Any of the hotels we've stayed at in Playacar had satellite access...We were able to watch the NY networks..IE: WABC, WCBS, WNBC....
