documents to get into CR

Hi
I was wondering what type of documents you need to get into Costa Rica. Is a passport enough, I have read something about travel vouchers or something, but was confused. We have passports. Thanks

Passports are enough!

There is an immigration card that you'll have to fill out and have stamped when you enter the country, but you don't need to worry about it or do anything before you go --- the airline will give you the form when you need it.

Have fun!

But you do in fact NEED a passport, huh? If so, I guess I'd better get on the ball cuz our whole family of 4 needs em!

One warning re: Passports. Your passport needs 90 days of validity on it. IE, if you are traveling on May 1, 2005, your passport must have an expiration date after August 1, 2005.

We heard stories of people being turned away because they didn't know the 90-day rule. Luckily, I found this out (from Fodor's, of course) well in advance of our trip, since our kids passports only had 30-60 days validity.

Thanks so much for that extremely valuable bit of information. We will be OK cuz wer're going next month but very useful info for others who may not know this! I do remember hearing this somewhere too, now that you mentioned it.
