Do I need to change money before my trip?

I will be arriving into Cancun around midnight and taking taxi to hotel in the Hotel Zone. Should I change some money into Pesos before I leave or will all taxi drivers accept US dollars?

Thanks,

Taxi drivers will accept US dollars.

No problem at all using U.S. dollars.

Is that true for the buses leaving the DF airport as well?

No.

Cancun & Cabo are more friendly to USD. Anywhere else in Mexico, you'll want to have peso (the currency of the country).

Bring your ATM bank card with you. There is a 24 hour ATM machine in the airport that will give you the local currency, pesos.

Does anyone know exactly WHERE that elusive Cancun airport ATM is located?

I suppose I have been carried along with the rush from Immigration->Baggage claim->Customs->Vans/Taxis to look really carefully, but I've never been able to locate "it."

I'm pretty familiar with the arrival terminal, so - any hints??
