DFarmers's daughter Needs help for tour from Vina del Mar

Hey all, Daughter is in Chile. Her university arranged tours of Vina, Valpo, a vinyard tour and a weekend in Mendoza, Argentina.

But she wants to see a bit more. Certainly she wants to see Santiago and a couple places on the outskirts. She would also like to see a some of the countryside nearby.

So the problem is that I cannot find information on drivers, guides or tours that originate from Vina del Mar.

I know the first idea will be take the bus. Which I understand is safe and inexpensive. But she would prefer a driver and/or guide so that she does not miss anything.

So if anyone has suggestions please let me know. Keeping in mind that her week days are limited to afternoons only, due to being in classes in the mornings.

Thanks

Hi dfarmer

A good tour guide in Santigao is

Victor Miranda

His e-mail address is :

[email protected]

If he is booked up for that specific time I am sure he can help your daughter with one of his friends.

He took me all over Santiago and into the countryside and then into the wine country and on to Vin del Mar.

You daghtercan customize her tour anyway she wants

Thanks Percy, you are a God send. I so appreciate and respect your advice.

To be complely honest I am filling so incompetent when it comes to my daughters trip.

Stepdaughter who is in Costa Rica now, can ask and I come up with several ideas.

But never traveling to Chile, I just simply have nothing to go by. And most of the website are in Spanish.

So thank you, I will pass this on to her.

Dear Dfarmer,

If your daughter makes it to Mendoza, let me know and I would be happy to give her some suggestions on things to do. Feel free to send me a message.

Best!

This thread is from 2007 so I guess the daughter has completed her trip.
