Dental work in Costa Rica?

This is kind of a weird question, but has any one had any dental work done in Costa Rica? If so, would you mind sharing your experience? It seems kind of scary but I know it can be much cheaper, especially if you are going anyway, which we are!! I would also be interested in hearing about plastic surgery experiences!!

Medical tourism has become quite common with dentistry and plastic surgery leading the way. The clinics that cater to foreigners all advertise in The Tico Times every week. If you'll be in Costa Rica, pick up a copy of the paper and look through the ads.

Thanks... I would love to hear about your experiences. I am not sure how to begin. We are planning on being in CR for about 10 days and I may add a few days on for the purpose of the dental work. I am not sure if it is better to go through a company that arranges thos things or just call a dentist directly.
