Day trips from Ambergris?
 

We will be traveling to Belize for the first time in March for our Honeymoon. We are looking for some fun day trips (besides snorkeling which we will definitly so) or an overnight trip we can do. Any suggestions?

take the water taxi over to caye caulker for lunch or dinner - dinner is probably better as all the people will be returning from their snorkel/dive trips.

By the way, we are staying on Ambergris.

We bought a charter airfare to Belize and we had the option to purchase an air pass which included 6 internal flights. We decided to fly back to Belize City and take the bus out to the zoo. The zoo is quite unusual and we really enjoyed it. Not sure how easy that would be to do if you couldn't fly cheaply, but you might want to look into it.

Two great full day ruins trips: Lamanai or Altun Ha. Also, full day caving trips, horses, canoeing and more. If you haven't already booked all your nights on Ambergris, you might want to consider spending a few nights at one of the jungle lodges on the mainland, especially if you want to do more than one of these activities.<BR><BR>Katie Valk, Belize
