In Puebla we didnt stay at Casa Reyna, https://www.casareyna.com/es/hotel/. We had2 good meals there and thought the hotel looked lovely. Nice grounds and we did a peek or 2 into some rooms being cleaned. I would have liked to have stayed there. Its a little stroll into the main downtown area, but no big deal.
we stayed at Banyon Tree which was very nice, but nothing special.

Thanks for the thoughts yestravel. Coincidentally, I today I watched the Eva Longoria "Searching for Mexico " TV and she visited Izamal. will certainly pay a visit and may even take night from Valladolid and stay there.

We ate at the restaurant in her series. It was quite good.

Great minds... I just downloaded the list of restaurants she visited in the series from the CNN website. May have to put a few on the list! especially liked the look of Hiyoko the Japanese fusion place in Little Tokyo in Mexico City.
