Customs/ fish fillets

Is it possible to bring fish fillets through customs?

Yes, but it is probably not worth the hassle of openening each sealed dry ice container. I would stay an extra week, hire a cook and enjoy locally.

Thanks, mikemo
I did manage to find the Code of Federal Regulations regarding this subject-(50CFR14.21)www.fws.gov
I have carried seafood on flights, just not from another country. These days they look in your cooler regardless of where you're coming from.
By the way, of you'd had my grilled fish, you'd know- It's definetly worth it! ;)

If you mean taking fish back into the USA it's no problem.
Thousand and thousands of anglers returning from Canada and Mexico take fish into the USA with no significant delays.
Apparently fish harbours no disease of any kind and so is classified quite differently than Pork or Fruit.
I've brought Tuna home to Canada
from both the USA and Mexico and just
been waved through.
