Would you make the coffee, hip? :)

Corcovado is best visited from someplace other than Bosque. Most people go there from the Drake Bay side of the peninsula rather than the Cabo Matapalo side. As for wildlife viewing and which is better, it's probably a crapshoot. Have been to BdC several times and some visits have been better for wildlife than others--probably the same is true for Corcovado.

First time we went to BdC, it was for 3 nights only. There is so much to do on the property that we didn't select any activities other than the Bosque grounds and tours offered on the grounds. It was important to us to spend a few minutes each day on those verandahs and hammocks also! It's just one of my "things", but it would really bug me to pay BdC's prices and spend my time traveling back into Puerto Jimenez for activities, especially with limited time.

As for overnight in San Jose, with your timing, you might consider Grano de Oro in San Jose. Gets great reviews, volcanogirl can vouch for it wholeheartedly. It is on the west side of town, so close to Pavas (Nature Air) airport. If you book the 10:00 flight (or around there), you'd have plenty of time to relax in the a.m. and enjoy breakfast. Still, you'd be at BdC in time for your tuna melt! hip, I love the chicken curry/papaya as well. :)

Last day at Bosque, you can take an early afternoon flight back to SJO so as to enjoy another morning at Bosque. Consider flying Nature Air down, Sansa back. Bosque will arrange that for you. Then you can do the Grano de Oro (or other SJ hotel) your first night and Orquideas (or other hotel near SJO) your last night, logistically easier, and giving you a bit more experience for your short time.

Good luck!
