Costa Rica: would you go in January?

Just learned I may be able to go with a group, and most likely the only month is January due to family events and work.

If yes, would it make any difference January 10-20 or 17-27?

Hi Dayenu!! I have not been in January, but that is considered the peak season because of the weather. Less rain. Either date is probably OK.

Yep, I would do it! September/October can be very rainy for certain parts of the country because that's the rainy "green" season.

Jan is a great month latter part usually a little better for price crowds

January is the start of our summer or dry season.
Agree with qwovadis that later in the month is better to miss the holiday crowds. I think prices will be about the same, though.

Well... moved to February, got vacation time signed, put deposit on the tour! Red-eye flight, here we come

This is a Road Scholar (former Elderhostel) 10-day trip.
