Costa Rica with Overseas Adventure Travel group

Has anyone done a group trip with this travel outfit? We're considering going to Costa Rica soon with them and would love any feedback.

I don't do tour groups personally but my sister (60s, single traveler) uses them all the time including a Costa Rica trip many years ago. She's been to Turkey several times, Amazon, Ecuador, Brazil, heading to India and Nepal with them next month. It's the only outfit she uses and she recommends them highly.

Thanks, hopefulist---that's good to hear a positive recommendation. We've never done a group/guided trip and I'm very hesitant.

You could try a search on the Trip Advisor forums - a quick search found the 1 below but there are likely others. ¡Buena suerte!

A friend of mine took their trip to Costa Rica. She is a travel agent and travels a great deal. She was very pleased with the trip they offered.

I have travelled with OAT to Thailand, Turkey and Nepal/Bhutan. Immensely enjoyed all trips. There were 12 or less mostly adventurous travelers on the trips. No complaints

I ran into the OATies in Costa Rica and asked how they liked the tour. Comments were very positive. The group mix was a bit younger than the typical OAT tour, also.

I've done six or seven tours with OAT and think they're great. The best things about them include the fact that they limit participants to 16 per trip so you're never sitting waiting until that 40th person shows up. Another plus is there is no single supplement and the group is so small it's always easy to feel a part of it.
