Costa Rica Weather

I'm leaving for Costa Rica (Manuel Antonio) on Jul 30th. Heard weather was horrible this week..can't seem to find a good website giving me forecast for next week. Anyone currently there hearing next week's weather and what I should expect?

I know how you're are feeling. The weather seems so uncertain when you are far away. Don't let it conern you. There may be rain but not horrible. Sun/rain/sun. You'll have a grood time as even if it rains, it's not forever and it's not cold.

We just got back last week (our last 5 nights were in MA). A few showers here and there but no "rainout" days. Some nights it rained heavily from like 4 or 5 through the night and some nights just a brief storm. The only constant was dry mornings every single day - plan your activities for the morning. We never had enough rain to impact anything we did so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

It's not the heavy part of the rainy season yet. Bring some decent gear and come have fun. September and parts of October can be like standing in a car wash all day.

The REAL weather website, you can just click around and look at the pictures for prognosticos , even if you don't read Spanish.

We just left MA yesterday for La Fortuna and the weather was great for 4 -days it rained one morning pretty hard however it was sunny after 11:00. All of the monkeys were out after the rain it was awesome! One day it sprinkled in the afternoon for about 5 minutes. We lucked out because we heard that it rained the weekend before pretty hard! Just bring some rain gear and have a blast!

How did you look for a website for costa rican weather?
I can type "costa" rica" "forecast" and "weather" into Google in any order and
get a gaggle of websites that would give you the information you want.

Problem is you usually don't get the Costa Rica version when searching from a computer in the US. And the US versions are over generalized.

I used Costa Rica climatico to get the hit I posted two above.
